Little Disciples Preschool Helped Raise Funds and Awareess for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital While Teaching Valuable Riding Toy Safety Tips

The St. Jude Trike-A-Thon pedaled in much needed funds to help fight childhood cancer

Little Disciples Preschool raised awareness and funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® during the annual St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. Funds raised will go to support the research and treatment of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The fundraiser is a week-long program where kids learn riding toy safety skills while raising funds to ensure that no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Insert quote - “This is the 5th year that Little Discipes Preschool has held the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon program,” said Virginia Bernstein, preschool director. “We are excited to host the program every year because it’s a fun activity we can easily incorporate into our existing enrichment programs. Not only did we teach our children valuable safety lessons, we taught them how they could help kids like them who are fighting to have a sense of normalcy in their lives after battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.”

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude has the world’s best survival rates for some of the most aggressive childhood cancers, and treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since we opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade. St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs we make, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
