  • Check out what we’re learning about in Haven!

Our Sunday School lesson for this week is based off of Romans 16:1-27.

    Verse of the Week:
"Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.” β€”Romans 16:16

Here are a few questions you can ask your kids to help engage with them throughout the week:

    1. Are you someone who often looks for ways to encourage others? How does Paul's example give you a blueprint for what that could look like? What is one way you can encourage someone today?

    2. "Diversity" is a word that gets a lot of attention these days, but how was it a blessing for the Roman church? How was it a challenge? Have you seen that play out in your own experience today?

    3. Who is someone who has played an important role in your faith journey? What would you say to them if you could encourage them? What is preventing you from telling them today?

    4. What are divisive issues that regularly pop up in your family? What are ways you can work to love and encourage one another?

    5. What have you learned through your study of Romans? What has stuck out to you the most?

    6. How does the doxology at the end affect your view of God? What is something you want to praise Him for today? Spend some time as a family giving glory to God!

    Main Takeaway:

Even in the midst of diversity, God has great plans for His unified church. In his closing words, Paul wants to simultaneously encourage the Roman Christians and move them into a spirit of praising God for who He is.

  • We're here to come alongside you as you disciple your children!

Here is one resource that might be helpful to you this week:

In a world full of competing voices, our students are constantly being shaped by what they see and hear. Parents as Disciplers is a gentle reminder that God has entrusted parents with a unique and powerful role in their children’s spiritual formation. Rooted in Scripture and everyday life, this short read encourages you, as parents, to disciple your students through simple, intentional conversations and faithful presence; trusting God to work through ordinary moments.

The Haven team hopes and prays that this helps you as you disciple your students. Remember, we are here for you and your kids. Please feel free to reach out if you're facing any challenges.

This will be a fun and relaxed afternoon designed just for our middle school girlsβ€”think best dresses, yummy treats, and quality time with friends. We’ll enjoy tea and desserts, create our own essential oil–based perfumes, and then cozy up to watch Monte Carlo (PG).

This is a FREE event, but we’ll be asking families to help by bringing additional finger foods (please be sure to select what you’ll bring during registration).

While the girls enjoy their afternoon, this is also a great opportunity for parents to sneak away for a Valentine’s Day brunch date.

We can’t wait to celebrate friendship, creativity, and fun with your girls!

High schoolers! Prepare for a high-school-level getaway where fun, faith, and fellowship collide! This weekend is designed for high school students seeking an intentional break from the ordinary and who want an opportunity to worship, connect, and grow in their walk with Christ.

Join students and leaders from across Florida for dynamic worship and teaching led by speaker Kelly Jackson (RUF Campus Minister at FSU) and worship from Seven Rivers Worship. Students will also dive into a full lineup of outdoor adventures including but not limited to: lake activities, field games, springs and state parks, and late‐night hangouts and group times where lifelong friendships and faith will grow deeper roots.

Parents will receive the full packing list, dress code, and all additional forms  in an email following registration, so please be on the lookout for that.

Please note that clothing should be modest and activity-appropriate (fingertip-length shorts, no crop tops, one-piece swimsuits, etc.) as per Southland's policy.

Get ready to step out of your routine, draw near to God, and come away with fresh vision and community. We hope to see you there!
