Check out what we’re learning about in Haven!
Our Sunday School lesson for this week is based off of Romans 9:30-10:21.
Verse of the Week:
"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” —Romans 10:9Here are a few questions you can ask your kids to help engage with them throughout the week:
What are ways that you try to earn God's favor with your actions? What would it look like to receive righteousness instead of trying to achieve it?
Have you ever shared your faith with anyone? Has anyone ever talked to you about Jesus out of the blue? If you're really honest with yourself, what hinders you from telling your friends (or complete strangers) about Jesus?
Main Takeaway:
Rather than working our way to being right with God, in Christ, God offers us a perfect righteousness that we simply receive. Rather than demanding perfect performance, God asks us to believe in Him and confess that Jesus is Lord.

We're here to come alongside you as you disciple your children!
Here is one resource that might be helpful to you this week:
As we step into the Christmas season, it’s important to help our students remember what we’re celebrating. Axis has put together an Audio Advent experience designed to help families reflect meaningfully on Christmas together. Each day of Advent 2025: For the Record includes a familiar Christmas song — from familiar, classics to new renditions — paired with a short reflection and a parent follow-up question to start a discussion with your student. Whether you’re driving to activities, sitting down for dinner, or winding down for the evening, these daily episodes (less than five minutes each!) offer a simple, heartfelt way for you and your student to listen and talk about the hope, peace, joy, and love that Christmas represents, while also partaking in the spiritually formative, liturgical practice, and tradition of Advent!
The Haven team and I hope and pray that this helps you as you disciple your students. Remember, we are here for you and your kids. Please feel free to reach out if you're facing any challenges.
